Learning is Fun

The kids are constantly wanting to learn.  They love the weekly schedules or as #3 Girl calls them "projects."  They love learning even after they have finished their 'projects.'  We find plenty of time to play outdoors when the weather is nice, but there is plenty of fun things to do indoors too.
The kids read a book about the Berenstain Bears that make airplanes with balloons attached.  The kids loved this idea so Dad helped them make some.
The balloons we bought were almost as tall as #3 Girl!
They loved having them on the airplanes and also playing without the airplanes.  These are #2 Boy's 'horns.'
#1 Girl drew this picture.  It has stars and a person below surrounded by a rainbow.
We have been learning about money.  #4 Boy decided that putting them in his eyes would be a great idea.
This week #2 Boy get's to dust and we read a book about a king with a long beard.  So, the picture below came to be.  #2 Boy with his duster beard.
#2 Boy also made up his first song.  It goes like this: Dinosaur stomps!  He makes a mad face.  He crushes rocks.
#2 Boy  also tried drawing his family tree.  He was doing this on his own.  He ended up with #2 Boy at the bottom, mom and dad in the right places, #3 Girl and #1 Girl where the grandparents should be.  I just love his big smiling faces and that he can spell all the names.
#2 Boy has been getting better at coloring.  I love seeing what they come up with.  This is his colorful truck.
#2 Boy has also been spending a lot of time drawing boats with people in them. This is one of the examples of his fancy boats.
This week one of the worksheets for piano included this word search.  I had to help #3 Girl with all of hers.  #2 Boy could do some of it.  #1 Girl was able to do all of her's on her own.  I love that she even colored the little piano.
#2 Boy drew this today and put it on Dad's pillow.  So cute!
#4 Boy has also taken to drawing.  He drew this picture and was trying to tell me about.  However, I couldn't understand what it was.  He was pointing at the lines on the left side that go up and down and saying, "bu, bo."
This week we also decided to add this to our fridge.  #1 Girl already knows all these words, but I am sure as we go through the list that we will find new words to learn.  I have been doing one word a day and practice that word with the kids.  I make up a little tune to learn the words and even #4 Boy can end the song some times.  So cute!
