Salt Lake County Fair

We attend the Salt Lake County Fair every year. We couldn't pass up the chance to go enjoy it a few different times this year.
#3 Girl petting the hurt animal.

Kids wanted to pet all the animals....#1 Girl and #5 Boy didn't and enjoyed watching from the other side of the fence

#3 Girl riding a pony

#2 Boy riding a pony
We also took the kids on some of the carnival rides.  They haven't really done anything besides Merry-Go-Rounds so this was a big step up.
#3 Girl, Dad, #4 Boy in one seat

#1 Girl and #2 Boy not sure about going alone in another seat

From the top of the Ferris Wheel!

#1 Girl and #2 Boy ended up really relaxing and enjoying it

Then the older three went on the next ride with Dad

#1 Girl and #2 Boy were paired together again and this one was a bit more crazy but they loved it!

#2 Boy came off the ride looking pretty dizzy

Then it was on to the Berry-Go-Round It was just going to be 3 of them but last minute 2 more decided to join.

They got that thing spinning pretty fast. Dad mentioned that on a few of the rides he almost lost his cookies.  After this ride #4 Boy was looking pretty pale and didn't want to go on any more rides.

#1 Girl on one last ride...love that face!

#5 Boy was a good sport about watching the rides and didn't go on any of them.
On Friday night Dad and I went on a date night to watch the Demolition Derby.  It was lots of fun.  Amazing to see the damage that is done to the body and to the engine and yet the cars keep on going.
This truck drove around with his front wheel bent like that for about 10-15 minutes it was crazy!

This got stuck on the hill

These two were smashed together for a while and other cars just kept ramming them!

This car couldn't move much after it's final blow

I love how bent up this car is and yet it continued to drive
On Saturday we went down again with the kids and saw some more animals and visited the booths that were set up.
#5 Boy wanted to put things in their water cups

Kids holding different animals.

Kids in front of the Monster Truck...one of these day we will have to pay to ride them.  Since that time #2 Boy has been really excited about Monster Trucks!

Walking home the kids were pretty tired and took turns in the stroller.  I love this picture of #2 Boy and #5 Boy holding hands.  #2 Boy informed me, "#5 Boy likes holding my hand.  I let go and he keeps reaching for it."
