Hard Workers

On Saturday morning at 8 am we showed up at the church and helped clean.  The kids got compliments on what great helpers they were.  We cleaned the grounds and also the classrooms.  They all found ways to help.  After arriving home we decided to borrow Bro-in-law's truck and get some beauty bark for our gardens.  Dad drove the truck out to get three large loads of dirt and we still don't have enough to finish our garden out front.  The kids were ecstatic to help.  #2 Boy helped mostly with his little shovel, #1 Girl brought the wheel burrow back to the truck, #3 Girl loved raking the dirt out with her dad and #4 Boy worked a little on all the tasks.  The highlight for the kids though was digging in the dirt in the truck.

While Dad went to get more dirt I worked on mowing the grass, since we finally got a lawn mower.  It was super tall and a lot of the time I was carrying #5 Boy in his carrier.  That evening we watched  sis-in-law's kids while they went on a date.  I stopped mowing when they arrived and the lawnmower sat like this for a while.  While I watched the little ones, Dad finished up doing more yard work.  A lot of people at church commented on our yard since it is a main area to pass by and a few commented on what hard workers the kids were.
On Monday The kids were wrestling Dad.  After a while they decided to doggy pile each other.  Then #4 Boy wanted Dad on top of him.  The others agreed and we ended up with this!
That night for Family Home Evening we got around to planting the flowers that the kids had picked earlier.  Each child picked a plant and also a spot to plant it.
