Construction

The kids have enjoyed these blocks they got for Christmas.  We got two different sets one is contraptions and shows different things to build that can use a ball with it.  The other is called structures and it has a bunch of buildings type things that you can build.  They are super easy to build with and the kids look at the pictures to build the same things or come up with their own.

#1 Girl made a Sandbox that looks like ours

Kids created these together

#2 Boy's castle

 These three made this too

I love this shot down it

The train, with tracks and a tunnel!

Having the Kids Home

The three older kids are off track. We love having the kids home! They have so much fun together.  They play well together and are creative and kind.
Angry Birds with Legos

The kids made this Angry Birds out of Legos They used a rubber band to shoot the birds at the pigs

The Angry Birds with all different colors and sizes.

#2 Boy reading to #7 Boy (It does so much!   #2 Boy reads, #7 Boy is entertained and it builds a bond between them!)

#7 Boy has started to push himself around with his toes and pull with his hands

He also spins around in circles on his belly.

#6 Boy coloring on the computers (he never really gets turns like the big kids)
Another time #2 Boy was reading to #7 Boy!

The kids made these with the Magformers and would put balls in them and other things

#2 Boy's two first teeth broke the surface just before our cruise.  After coming home they are a lot bigger!

We hit the 40s so the kids wanted to play outside.  #6 Boy was ready to dig in the dirt.

#6 Boy and #5 Boy also dug in the snow.

The Wall Clock

We have a HUGE space above our door.  I have been starring at that blank wall four almost 3 years dreaming of what to put up there.  About 1.5 years ago it hit me!  I wanted to find a place for a clock in my front room but didn't love any of the options.  I also wanted to display my old family photos some were on the main floor but there isn't much wall space that wasn't used.  I could combine the two and make a HUGE Wall Clock!  It has taken a LONG time to get the project going.  I wish I could show you the final picture...but that will have to come in a different post.  We bought the wrong size of clock arms so we need to still buy the arms.  However, even without the arms I love our clock!  Originally we were going to have 'one child' at one o'clock and two at two o'clock.  But to add a few more pictures and a couple less quotes we decided to adjust it to have one o'clock use our baby photos and two o'clock when there were two in the family, three family members for three o'clock, etc.  People ask if this means we can only have a couple more children, but rest assured that we can adjust photos to add at least 5 more kids... however, if we get more than that we might have to figure out some other design for that space. ;-)
Laying out the photos to see how spacing would work.  It works so they are all either half way up or half way over.  Perfect!

See how LARGE this thing is.  And Dad was up as high as the second floor!

The kids were excited to have the ladder out and wanted turns on it.
