Sugar and Honey Bunny

We have been looking at getting some bunnies for a while.  I have been keeping my eyes open for good deals and reading about what type of rabbits to get for our wants.  Dad's first idea was 'breed to eat' them, which isn't going to happen with these two.  I am not really ready to take that on currently. These are also a small breed that wouldn't be good for that. So, we decided to get some as pets.  As I read, the Holland Lops got lots of good comments about how they are breed to be great pets.  They were going to be outdoor pets, but then I figured it would be fine to have them in the garage, and then changed my mind again and now they live in our laundry room and are free to explore the main floor besides the kids rooms and bathroom. Yes, I never really pictured myself a pet owner, but now we have a large tank of fish and two little bunnies hopping around the house.  We would also like to get some chickens for our backyard by spring!  Anyway, Dad was gone from Thursday-Sunday and by Saturday I was ready to do something exciting with the kids, so we decided to go buy a rabbit.  We contacted my top two favorites, one would be around but the other was not going to be around for pick up until Monday.  So, we went shopping for cages and rabbit gear...don't go to the pet store!  IFA had what we were looking for and was SO much cheaper!  Just after getting the gear set up we went and picked up this sweet little brown guy.  The kids tested a few names on him but #5 Boy just kept saying, "Honey Bunny."  The older kids all seemed to like it so He is now Honey Bunny.  We knew that our other bunny on Monday would be a white little guy so we decided to name him Sugar even before we got him.

We took Honey Bunny out back on Sunday and he liked to hide under the slide

On Monday he was under the trampoline as the kids jumped

#6 Boy would reach for him and just giggle!
