Salt Lake County Fair

This year we only made it down to the fair grounds one day.  Dad took an early day on Friday and we enjoyed petting the animals, going on rides, and eating popcorn.

#1 Girl's Book Reports to earn rides (yes free rides for reading!)

This year there was a deal that if children 5-14 years read up to 3 books they could get up to 3 free rides...so #1 Girl, #2 Boy, and #3 Girl all participated in this.  We also bought a few tickets so Dad and I could join the kids and the little ones could go on the rides as well.

#5 Boy was not so sure about being placed on a motorcycle so #2 Boy "helped" him

This was after that ride. I thought he would be done but he wanted to try the cars (he was a lot happier)

#5 Boy was smiling this whole ride!

#4 Boy had this forced grin on his face for all his rides (One of the workers told them they had to smile...so he was trying really hard).

#5 Boy enjoyed the dirt as well

Dad on the Tornado with the kids (I went on a different one with them... and I felt old!)

We talked about going to the demolition derby or the rodeo but ended up not doing either of those.  But who really needs to pay to watch that when there is a demolition derby in your own home?!?
