Lately our kids have been getting
excited about patterns. We have been helping them find patterns in
everything. For example, we would point out to the kids that our shoe
box in our house has a pattern and ask them "What color of box should go
in the top right corner?"
The
answer in this case, of course, would be "blue." The kids often
struggle with the order of the days of the week so we'll ask them
something like "What comes after Saturday?" Sometimes we also use
worksheets to help them identify patterns. Below is an example of one.
