In Primary a couple of Sundays ago they
learned about Family History. They were give a pad of paper, a pencil,
and a magnifying glass. Then they were suppose to write parents names,
birthdays, etc. #5 Boy (4 years old) had
his teacher helping him. He wrote "Brian" for Levi's dad. Then he
wrote "Julia" for his mom. Levi insisted, "no! Her name is
Hun." His teacher told him that's a name she is called by too. Levi
insisted, "No. Her name is Hun." So his teacher wrote it next to
"Julia." That wasn't good enough for Levi. Later, Levi took the paper and erased "Julia" leaving Hun. Haha kids
are so funny!
The
next day, Levi told me we were going on on a "missing person hunt." He
drew the person, and some of the steps he took to get there. Then he
had me tell him what the name was on the age so we could find the
person.

4th of July P.J. Bottoms
Happy 4th of July from my little Love Bugs! Each year we sew p.j.s to wear the night night before the 4th of July. It is usually accompanied with a p.j. parade down my grandma's street, a sleepover, and band/breakfast in the morning. This year, we made p.j.s but the other things are changing. There is a time and season for everything. Anyway, I hope you enjoy our little buggers!

Birthday Love
In June we have three birthdays in our immediate family. So we have just survived all of those and have a break for a little while! No, really...birthdays are fun!
Birthday's are so fun! My kids love picking gifts from the dollar store for the birthday person. They love wrapping them. They also love bonking each other on the head with their gifts! Yes, this is a tradition carried on from my childhood days. The person giving the gift recites:
| The kids love bonking. I love #6 Boy's tongue out and Dad's scrunch anticipating it. |
Heavy, heavy hang over
thy poor head.
What do you wish
with a bump on the head.
thy poor head.
What do you wish
with a bump on the head.
Then they proceed to whack the birthday boy/girl on the head. After which the birthday boy/girl has to wish something for the person who is giving the gift. I love hearing what each child/parent wishes for the gift giver. They come up with some really fun thoughtful things. It is a way for the birthday person to think of others on their day but also be spoiled with gifts!
