Christmas Decorations and Crafts

Decorating for Christmas has always happened the day after Thanksgiving.  We were excited to have a little more room to decorate this year.  We don't have too many decorations so it doesn't take too long.

The kids hung all of the ornaments on the tree themselves.  They are a bit clustered but I couldn't bring myself to rearrange it.  The kids have them in special places and when I look at it I can't help but remember the kids excited exclamations of "mine are all right over here" and "the santas are all together" and "I love this one the most."

The kids LOVE this '12 Days of Christmas' quilt Nana made and are often found singing through the whole song.

We also have enjoyed our new Nativity Set brought back from the Holy Land by my parents  What a beautiful reminder of the real meaning of Christmas.
The decorating that took the longest was doing the outdoor lights.  We hope to add some more lights over the years, but this is a good start for now.

The Children have also been busy adding more decorations and I am sure that we will have plenty by the time Christmas rolls around.

#2 Boy has had this idea to hang snowflakes from our ceiling for a few months now.  He made these and asked Dad to hang them for him.  So cute!
