Easter Decorations

No, it's not Easter yet, but #2 Boy was set on getting things decorated because "Easter is almost here!"  So, we pulled out the Easter decorations and spent the day making decorations and playing 'find the Easter eggs.' Yes, we hid and re-hid last years empty Easter eggs over and over again.

We also made these little bunnies...

 ... this idea was printed off a blog I follow called, "Made by Joel."  He has some really cute fun craft ideas.

Tonight as #2 Boy was in bed he pointed at me and said, "You're the Easter bunny."  Surprised I pointed back to him and said, "Why did you say that?  YOU'RE the Easter bunny."  His answer was, "Dad, already said that to me tonight."

Goldilocks and the Bear

We curled #3 Girl's hair on Sunday and I just thought that she was so cute I had to get some pictures.  When I went to pick her up from Sunbeams she wasn't there...instead a bear in #3 Girl's dress walked over toward me.  Then the bear told me she was really #3 Girl.  #3 Girl enjoyed wearing her bear mask that afternoon and Dad commented that now she could do the play "Goldilocks and the three Bears" all by herself...but the kids told him that she could only do Goldilocks and the ONE bear.  We decided we liked our Goldilocks #3 Girl better than the Bear dressed as #3 Girl.  So, here is our Goldilocks.

Scripture Reading

Dad and I were both feelings like something had to change when it came to our scripture study.  So, our current method is to have each kid  read or recite a verse.  Everyone has their own Book of Mormon that they bring to scripture study to follow along.  On Monday the kids each made their own book markers so they could find the spot easier.  

#1 Girl is really the only one right now that can read out of the scriptures.  It is interesting how many big words she can read guess, based on the scriptural language.  That must mean she has been getting something out of our old reading.

 The other children listen to part of a sentence that Dad or I read and then recite it back.  #2 Boy likes to get ahead of us.  Tonight before I started reading anything he started, "And it came to pass..."  He was right on the money.  Then I started to help him, "that according to his word."  #2 Boy repeated that and continued making up his own words, "that according to his word they did not hearken.." at which point I cut him off so that we could continue with what the scriptures really said, "he did destroy them."
