We were on the road for the 24th of
July but the children got some excitement during the week before to make
up for it. All across the states the kids were singing, "Pioneer
children sang as they walked and walked and walked...." Grandma
worked with the kids on a few different crafts.
First they did pinhole pictures out of aluminum foil
#1 Girl working on hers
#2 Boy showing off his -the handcart - he did the wheel.
(#3 Girl's is the bottom one... it ended up looking like a starry night)
Another
craft Grandma helped them create. They used the faces of a
couple of our ancestors and created children and their handcart while
Grandma told them about the family.
One
of the Indians that the pioneers met. Just Teasing! #2 Boy found some
berries up on the tree and smashed them to paint his face.
