This past week #4 Boy picked out a few different books about cows from the library. As we were reading them on Monday, I decided we would make it the focus for the week. I don't feel like having a formal preschool with Isaac, but there are lots of activities he likes to do and fun ways to learn. One thing we talked about doing today but will probably get around to tomorrow is making brown and white cows out of pudding. I think it sounds fun...and yummy! Anyway, the books he got were good, they covered where cows live, what they eat, and what we do with them. I also found lots of books we had at home about cows to read and have also pulled out Sandra Boyton's CD that have songs that include cows. And yes, we had hamburgers this week :-) Anyway, below are some of the crafts that we did.
#4 Boy pasting his tear art together |
While #4 Boy worked on his art #5 Boy drew a duck |
I outlined a cow for him, he ripped up paper and glued it on to make his cow |
This is the cow I copied |
#4 Boy even drew a "cow maze" in his journal. There is a maze between the spots! |
He colored this in by himself and wrote "Moo" under it! |
These were some fun "stand up cows" that we found online. |

So cute! I love how creative kids get!
