Slip Slide 'n Dance

While it has been doing a little of this outside...

...inside we have been doing a bit of this!
The kids always get excited to help clean the kitchen floor.

Aquarium/Museum

I was planning on taking the kids to some fun places this past week.  But, the first half of the week some of the kids got sick and so we were on house arrest most of the week. The kids did great playing together and had loads of fun.  However, by Friday I was antsy to get out of the house.  I made some suggests of where to go with the kids during which #2 Boy commented on how much he wanted to go to the aquarium.  In the end his idea won.  I was pleased to find that the aquarium was now in Sandy making it really close!  We spent a couple of hours there before the kids were done.  Then on Saturday afternoon, Dad and I took the kids to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point.  The kids loved the time we spent there too.  Hopefully, the older two will have enjoyed their time off track and be ready for school to start again this coming Monday.

Creating

I love watching the kids be creative. #2 Boy has been wanting a real puppy dog, but knowing we won't get one. He has settled for asking for stuffed dogs that look like puppies. He lost his 6th tooth this last week and asked the tooth fairy for two puppies. This week with a little help from Dad the kids created a dog house which now resides in the boys room. They all helped color/decorate it. The dogs have loved their new home and spend a lot of time hanging out in there.

#5 Boy's blocks that he got for Christmas are constantly out being played with by all the children. Often towers are made and then quickly destroyed by #5 Boy. Then other times a piece of art is created like this one below made by #2 Boy and #1 Girl.

This week Dad also helped the children build #2 Boy's rocket. Now we just need to get an engine for it!
