Crafts and Hanging out

We had times for crafts and hanging out while at Nana's home. The kids made jelly bean necklaces and bracelets. #1 Girl showing hers shortly before getting eaten.

Nana also headed up a really cute hardware blocks project where the kids hammer different pieces of hardware to a wooden block. The kids loved it.

I loved seeing how each of the different ones turned out and what the kids were excited to place on their blocks. This is #2 Boy's.

It was nice to have some time to hang around at Nana's home.

#4 Boy loved playing with the car and lining them up in the car carrier.

Papa pulled out some gloves and all the children decided that they wanted to wear them also. #2 Girl along with the other children wore them for a large part of the afternoon.

Pioneer Crafts

We were on the road for the 24th of July but the children got some excitement during the week before to make up for it. All across the states the kids were singing, "Pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked...." Grandma worked with the kids on a few different crafts.

First they did pinhole pictures out of aluminum foil

Another craft Grandma helped them create. They used the faces of a couple of our ancestors and created children and their handcart while Grandma told them about the family.

One of the Indians that the pioneers met. Just Teasing! #2 Boy found some berries up on the tree and smashed them to paint his face.
