I would like to relate an experience I recently had.  We set up a large 50 gallon fish tank
in our front room.  As the creators of this tank we provided the rocks,
scenery, water, cleaning and food that the animals would need to
survive.  After it was all 'created' we put fish and frogs in it that
they might live.  One of the frogs liked to hang out near the top corner
of the tank.  After a day or so of not seeing him we started to wonder
where it had gone.  A little while later Dad found that frog dead on
the floor just outside of the tank.  He had leaped out of the tank
perhaps in hopes of finding something on the outside.  If we had be
there to rescue him shortly after he had left the tank we could have put
in back in and he would have survived, however, no one was there to
help him when he left the bounds that were created for him.  Because of
that he died.
So it is with our lives.  We are asked to live within the means which our Heavenly Father has created for us. Some times we might feel restricted seeing
something that looks enjoyable that is not within our bounds.  If we
choose to live within the guidelines that our creator has made for us,
we can live longer and happier lives. He loves us.  He has created a safe place
for us to live and grow.  From within these bounds we can look through
the 'glass' and see the things that are happening all around us.  Some
of it may not appeal to us, some of it may call to us, but all of it is
NOT for us.  If we chose to try and join the world then we are choosing
to leave our safe home behind.  We will not survive for long on the
outside.  It will change us and destroy us.  We may think we will be
able to jump back into the tank on our own, but it is too high.  For my
frog it was not possible.  For him to be able to enter back into the
tank he would have needed someone there to save him.  To catch him
before it was too late and to place him back within that safe place.
Luckily we always have someone standing by ready to save us.  We just
need to let him know that we have jumped out and would like to get back
in.   He will help us return to the safe place our creators have made.
Do not be tempted by the things 'outside the glass' and be grateful for
all the things that your creator has given you to help you survive and
enjoy the life you have been given.
