Reunion - Box Cars

The kids were each provided with a box and tons of craft supplies to make a box car.  Later in the day they would have a car race and do a drive-in movie.
#4 Boy designing his car to look like Lightning McQueen.  He wanted to use the black marker and I just let him have at it suggesting a few things.  My favorite is that he drew seats inside and also drew 'himself' sitting standing on the seats.  It was quick, simple and he loved it!

Hannah had become attached to Cousin and so they worked together on a box car.  I loved that even as we were leaving #3 Girl told me, "Mom, I have to go give my friend a hug goodbye!"

#3 Girl's box car: Love the ribbon, flowers and duck beak

#2 Boy wanting it to go over his shoulders so he didn't have to hold it.

#3 Girl with car she liked spinning it around her.

#1 Girl with her flower lights and orange side.

The race begins!  It was fun to see all ages get involved.  They have different 'pit stops' like fueling up and getting their tires changed.
